Decay - Lone Gjessing

A car wreck lies on its side among fallen trunks and dry branches in a thin birch wood. The roof panel and one wheel arch show pale against the tangle, bare saplings stand in front of it, and dead branches cross the whole frame. Only a trace of rust holds any colour.

Photographed in the forest and printed with the colour drawn almost out of it, so that only the rust keeps its warmth against the grey-green trees. Lone Gjessing is a Danish photographer and artist who also works with jewellery making and crafts. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
