Sunshine - Bent Hardervig

A face breaks apart into flat washes of yellow and orange on a white ground, the hair rising around it like a blaze. Only a few thin contour lines are left to hold the features, and the colour spills past them in ragged edges. Large areas of the sheet stay empty.

Built from a photograph reduced to a few flat colour fields and a thin contour line, so the face appears only where the yellow stops. Bent Hardervig is a well-known Danish graphic artist and author, with a long list of art prints and books behind him. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
