Sell Your Art With ARTSY FARTSY

If you make art, you already know the hard part is not making it. It is everything that comes after: printing, packing, shipping, customer service and — above all — getting it in front of people who will buy it. That is the part we do. ARTSY FARTSY prints and sells the work of more than 1,000 independent artists, and we are always looking for new ones.

How it works

1. Sign up. Create your artist profile through our artist portal. It is free.
2. Upload your work. High-resolution files of the pieces you want to sell as prints.
3. We review it. Every piece is approved by us before it goes live.
4. We do the rest. We create the product, print it in our own studio in Copenhagen, frame it if the customer wants, ship it, and market it.
5. You get paid. You earn a royalty every time one of your works is sold.

The terms, in plain words

• It is free. No sign-up fee and no monthly cost.
• You keep your rights. The copyright stays with you.
• No exclusivity required. You are free to sell your work elsewhere as well.
• A royalty on every sale. Your royalty is agreed with you when you join.
• Your own page. Every artist gets their own collection page in the shop, like Thomas Nordentoft or Raissa Oltmanns.

How your work is printed

We print in-house on a Canon imagePROGRAF GP-4600 on 230 g matte fine art paper, in five sizes from 21×30 up to 100×140 cm. That largest size is where many artists' work looks best — and where a poorly prepared file shows. The better your file, the larger we can sell it; the size guide explains the formats. What sells

We are open to most styles, but a few things help. Work with a clear, recognisable voice does better than work that looks like everything else. Series sell better than single pieces, because customers like to hang two or three together. And pieces that hold up at 50×70 and 70×100 give the customer more reasons to buy.
