A gallery wall above a bed follows different rules from one above a sofa, and the difference is symmetry. A sofa is a soft, wide shape that tolerates an asymmetric arrangement. A bed is a strong rectangle with a headboard, two bedside tables and usually two lamps — a room already built around a centre line. Fight that line and the wall looks wrong without it being obvious why.
Symmetry is not optional here
In most bedrooms the correct arrangement is symmetrical: two pieces, or three, or a two-by-two grid, centred exactly on the bed rather than on the wall. Those are not always the same point — a bed pushed slightly off-centre by a radiator or a door still governs, because the bed is what the eye measures against.
An asymmetric arrangement can work, but only in a bedroom that is already asymmetric: a bed against one end of a long wall, a single bedside table, no matching lamps. If the room is a mirror image of itself, the wall should be too.
Fewer pieces than you would use elsewhere
A bedroom is a room for winding down, and a gallery wall of seven frames works against that. Two or three is the right count above a bed. Four in a grid is the maximum before the wall starts to feel busy in a room that should not.

Measure up from the headboard
The 145 cm centre line does not apply above a bed, because the headboard occupies the lower wall. Set the bottom edge of the arrangement 15 to 25 cm above the top of the headboard, and let the pieces stack upward from there.
For a two-piece arrangement that is straightforward. For a two-by-two grid, measure to the bottom of the lower row — the grid will finish higher than you expect, which is another argument for keeping it to two or three pieces. Keep it inside the bedside tables
The arrangement should sit within the span of the bed itself, not reach across to the bedside tables. Art that extends over the tables makes the bed look narrower than it is, and it clashes with the lamps.

Weight and glass above a bed
Worth stating: several framed pieces above a sleeping person is more weight than one. Use proper fixings rated well above the actual load, fix into studs or use plasterboard anchors rather than a single picture pin, and keep the largest formats for the opposite wall.
